In accordance with the Fair Information Practice (FIP) Principles created by the FTC, My New CD makes full disclosure on the use of any personal data collected on our Web site or via our email newsletters. Collection Limitation Principle

2. by the authority of law.

Security Safeguards Principle

Personal data should be protected by reasonable security safeguards against such risks as loss or unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure of data.

Openness Principle

There should be a general policy of openness about developments, practices and policies with respect to personal data. Means should be readily available of establishing the existence and nature of personal data, and the main purposes of their use, as well as the identity and usual residence of the data controller.

Individual Participation Principle

An individual should have the right:

1. to obtain from a data controller, or otherwise, confirmation of whether or not the data controller has data relating to him;
2. to have communicated to him, data relating to him:
1. within a reasonable time;
2. at a charge, if any, that is not excessive;
3. in a reasonable manner; and
4. in a form that is readily intelligible to him;
3. to be given reasons if a request made under subparagraphs(a) and (b) is denied, and to be able to challenge such denial; or
4. to challenge data relating to him and, if the challenge is successful to have the data erased, rectified, completed or amended.

Accountability Principle

A data controller should be accountable for complying with measures which give effect to the principles stated above.

Relevance

Mailing addresses:  MyNewCD will use your mailing address to ship products you have purchased. If you are an Artist, we will mail payments and promo kits to your mailing address. This information will not be shared with anyone.
Other Information: MyNewCD may ask you questions about your interests, including music, artists, art, and shows you have enjoyed as well as purchasing decisions you make. Collection of this information is completely voluntary. We want to know these things about you so we can provide you with better service, the most relevant and dynamic content possible. This information will be shared with others in its aggregate only. For example, we may disclose that there are 10,000 people interested in buying a particular CD, but their individual identity will never be revealed.
Web Experience: How your information is used. We collect personal information at your discretion so we can provide you with a better Web experience. The more we know about you, the more relevant the information and music we can deliver. Our site does utilize cookies for personalization, tracking and usage statistics measurements.
